Since 2014, China’s musical instrument industry has enabled its business turnover to grow by an average of 9.82% annually. By the end of 2017, the main business revenue had reached up to RMB 39.233 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.56%. With the rapid development of national economy and the upgrading of consumption concept, a number of policies have been introduced to support the development of cultural industry, such that China’s musical instrument industry is about to usher in the next tuyere.
Jiangsu, located in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, is one of the most economically active provinces in China, and ranks first in China in terms of per capita GDP, comprehensive competitiveness, regional development and livelihood index (DLI). As of 2017, Jiangsu had achieved a GDP of RMB 8,590.09 billion and a permanent resident population of 80.293 million. At the same time, Jiangsu is also a major province in musical instrument consumption and manufacturing. To boost the healthy and rapid development of Jiangsu’s characteristic cultural industry, we should give play to the roles of culture in educating people, enriching people, and pleasuring people, build a professional, market-oriented and internationalized platform for exhibition trade, music exchange and open cooperation in Jiangsu and even the global musical instrument market, and assist in industrial upgrading and brand promotion. Thanks to the clustering of high-quality resources in government, industry and market in Jiangsu, we should focus on holding the First Jiangsu International Musical Instrument Expo.

It is the first international musical instrument expo uniquely held with the support of government departments such as Propaganda Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Jiangsu Sub-council. By means of government organizations and targeted invitation, authoritative and professional resources in Jiangsu governmental departments and industries gather together to create well-known expo with famous brand names, offline interactions, and exhibitions.

Data driven and precise positioning
The information of the Expo is released to the target buyers and sellers accurately by means of Internet technologies such as big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Special on-field negotiation activities will be launched through online interaction and precise marketing. To integrate the resources of buyers and sellers, a big data platform will be built to promote the connection of buyers and sellers, realize the cooperation in trade, and promote the trading of commodities, thus building an “expo of never ending”.
With the aid of CMG, we will view more than 15,000 families of piano children as our targeted audiences. We will cooperate with Jiangsu Provincial Musicians Federation to publicize the expo to all participants in music grading tests in the whole province, and in addition, take the resources of Jiangsu Symphony Orchestra to make it popular among colleges, middle schools and primary schools with art majors and art groups in the province. According to the consumption of parents of prospective piano children (aged from 3 to 5), it is important to gather information and cooperate with famous new media (chestnut association) to establish a media matrix and a topic event for the expo, and conduct uninterrupted publicity.

Take the expo and conference as a carrier
To make more soulful music and innovate the “exhibition + conference” mode, we will organize more than 10 special events such as industry development summits, instrumental master classes, industry development seminars, instrumental music carnivals, and children’s music lecturers around topics of concern to exhibitors, buyers and professional audiences, in order to focus on professionalism and effectiveness, build an authoritative exchange and think tank platform, spread the power of love, and greatly enrich the experience of exhibition.

Media focus and great exposure
The mainstream media try to make promotion throughout the whole process with more than 1,000 times of information release. Meanwhile, with full use of the huge resources of Internet media, we will cooperate with Tencent, Toutiao, Sina and other social media giants to jointly plan a number of events such as “Future Musicians”, “Musical Instrument Speakers”, “Endless Melody” and “Flashing Symphony” to create hot spots. The total exposure is expected to reach more than 20 million people, including over 5 million targeted audiences. With three days of display and 365 days of promotion, online and offline effective release before, during and after the expo will be achieved in an all-around way to maximize the seller’s brand exposure and participation income.
Exhibitors can download the exhibition map and application form at www.imusic-expo.com, fill in the Exhibition Application Form according to requirements, and scan or fax it to the organizing committee. Deadline: September 15, 2019.
Exhibitors shall pay the booth rent in full before September 30, 2019 according to the Confirmation Notice issued by the organizing committee to verify the booth location.
The booth can be allocated only after receipt of the booth rent. Booth allocation is based on the principle of “first come, first served”. We will organize the “Future Musicians” selection event, and build a bridge between young people and professional orchestras to integrate learning and performance; specially invite professional conductors from Jiangsu Symphony Orchestra to popularize the knowledge about symphony and explore the charm of professional symphony orchestras coached by professional performers. The “2019 Future Musician Youth Symphony Orchestra” will be held during the Expo. By virtue of the “Future Musicians” activity, we will make promotional efforts and locate professional audiences, so as to expand the influence of the Expo.

Four performance masters are invited to deliver lectures at the Expo and teach the knowledge about performance of musical instruments to enrich the experience of exhibition.
Wang Jian, an international top cello player, and one of the most influential cello masters in the world today.
Ma Yong, one of the most outstanding flutists in China, the chief flute of the China National Opera House, and the first Chinese flutist to graduate from the Juilliard School of Music.
Zhou Ting, a famous pianist, clavichord performer, piano educator, vice president and dean of the piano department of the Music Middle School Affiliated to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
Huang Mengla, known as the “Oriental Paganini”, one of the most active violinists in the international music scene, and the winner of the Gold Award of the 49th Paganini International Violin Competition.
